  • Two New O.T.O. Grand Lodges formed: The International Headquarters of Ordo Templi Orientis is pleased to announce the formation of two new Grand Lodges on May 17, 2014 e.v. The Grand Lodge of Croatia has been chartered under the leadership of the National Grand Master General Frater Abrasax X°. The Grand Lodge of Italy has been chartered under the leadership of the National Grand Master General Frater Phanes X°. We would like to applaud the hard work and dedication of all our Croatian and Italian brothers and sisters which made this possible. Along with the United States, United Kingdom, and Australia, the total number of Grand Lodges now stands at five.   • Rutgers University hosts Academia Ordo Templi Orientis: Rutgers University Libraries, in association with Academia Ordo Templi Orientis, is holding a one-day colloquium entitled “The Soldier and the Seer: J.F.C. Fuller, Aleister Crowley and the British Occult Revival” on June 23 at Rutgers’ Alexander Library in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Founded in 2011, Academia Ordo Templi Orientis (AOTO) is a learned society consisting of initiate members of Ordo Templi Orientis (OTO) and academic affiliates. The goal of AOTO is to foster interdisciplinary research on OTO and the religious doctrine of Thelema that the Order promotes, as well as on broader subjects related to esoteric traditions, both historical and contemporary.   • Scarlet Symposium 2014: Scarlet Woman Lodge, O.T.O. proudly presents the 4th annual Scarlet Symposium on June 21 & 22, 2014, a mystical gathering for seekers exploring the ancient mysteries, magical arts, metaphysics, and spiritual practice. The Rite of Mars, their current project, will be staged September 5th, 6th, 11th, 12th and 13th in Seattle, WA, and with ample support we will stage additional performances in Portland and Spokane.     • Hymenaeus Beta released further information on Fill/Kill, specifically showing the use of “kill” in Liber CXX: Liber Cadaveris [OTO]
    • Finally, Hymenaeus Beta has released a third essay entitled “On the Fill/Kill Correction (3),” which is the most comprehensive essay so far. It contains a list of information about the history of publications of Liber AL, including a table detailing the various changes made at different times. [OTO]

    • Thoth Tarot art exhibition: O.T.O. IHQ and the Warburg Institute have arranged for the inclusion of nine of the Aleister Crowley and Frieda Harris Thoth Tarot paintings at The 55th International Art Exhibition, or Venice Biennale (June 1, 2013 – November 24, 2013) [OTO IHQ]
    • Thoth Tarot restoration: O.T.O. has raised the necessary funds to restore the original Thoth Tarot paintings, and this Thoth Tarot restoration project is now completed. [OTO IHQ]

    • Publishing news: All of Crowley’s surviving diaries are now in page proofs— totaling over 6,000 pages as things now stand. A new edition of The Holy Books of Thelema are currently in final proofs, there is a new edition of The Diary of a Drug-Fiend, and many other newly-mastered versions of out of print ‘backlist’ titles. [OTO IHQ]
    • Fill/Kill: Hymenaeus Beta came into possession of Crowley’s copy of ‘Thelema,’ i.e. The Holy Books, which includes “a very important text correction to Liber CCXX III:37,” specifically a marginal note that corrects “fill me!” to “kill me!” in the text of Liber CCXX. [OTO IHQ]
  • Fill/Kill controversy: As one might expect from a change to teh central Holy Book of a religion, there has been a fair bit of controversy around this supposed “correction” to Liber CCXX. Here are some written responses to this “Fill/Kill controversy.”
